Best known for his role as Sergeant Terry Jeffords in NBC’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, Terry Crews also used to play for the NFL before he started acting. He was one of those lucky people who are successful in more than one field. He was active as a professional football player from 1991 to 1997 before he started acting in 1999.
This football player-turned-actor catapulted to fame by playing Julius Rock in the sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris,” which aired on UPN from 2005–2006, and later on The CW from 2006–2009.
Aside from having a reality TV show with the rest of his family, “The Family Crews”, the actor and former NFL star is also known for hosting “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” (2014 – 2015), “America’s Got Talent” (2019), and “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” (2019-2020). His most notable acting projects, aside from those that are mentioned above, were “Friday After Next” (2002), “White Chicks” (2004), “Idiocracy” (2006), “Blended” (2014), the “Expendables” series (2010–2014), and “Rumble” (2021).
However, as he made a name for himself, he also became subject to the scrutiny of the public. This led to speculations about his personal life, particularly his sexuality. Is Terry Crews gay? Let’s get the question settled once and for all.
VOTE: What is Terry Crews’ Sexuality?
On Terry Crews’ Personal Life and Sexuality
Terry Crews has always been open about his personal life. His life has been an open book. It was not a secret that he grew up in an abusive home with an alcoholic father. His parents later separated and the athlete-turned-actor vowed to never follow in his father’s footsteps. The actor was also open about his struggle with pornography addiction and how he overcame it.
For those who are curious about Terry Crews’ sexuality, he’s straight. There’s no doubt about that. He was, in fact, married for 33 years now. He was married to actress and former beauty queen, Rebecca King-Crews. The couple met at Western Michigan University when they were still studying — where Terry played for the university’s football team. The couple got married in July 1989. It wasn’t bed roses for them as the comic actor, at one point, was addicted to pornography, nearly causing their separation. The couple had always been open about their faith and how it helped them to save the marriage.
The couple has five children. The eldest is Naomi Burton-Crews, Rebecca’s daughter from a previous relationship with Charles Burton, whom Terry had already adopted. Naomi has a daughter, Miley Crews, who also appears on “The Family Crews”, a reality TV show that chronicles the Crews family’s adventures from 2010 to 2011.
The second child, Azriel Crews, is also into acting and singing. Then there’s Tera Crews, who, among all the siblings, stays out of the spotlight the most. Next is Wynfrey Crews, the youngest daughter. The youngest and the only boy among all five siblings, Isaiah Crews, is also an amazing actor. The 18-year-old started acting when he became a part of Nickelodeon’s “Side Hustle” in 2020.
Talent definitely runs abundantly in the Crew’s household.

On Getting Involved in Sexual Assault and Gay Rumors
In October 2017, at the peak of all the sexual harassment issues involving film producer Harvey Weinstein and various Hollywood actresses, Terry Crews also revealed that he, too, was a victim of sexual assault. The actor exposed that in 2016, a male Hollywood executive (who was later revealed as the head of the motion picture department of the talent company William Morris Endeavor, Adam Venit) groped him at a party. The actor said he was too scared to report the harassment.
This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME. (1/Cont.)

He shared how the #MeToo movement had given him the courage to come forward and share his own experience, even if a lot of people told him that it was invalid. And although he received a lot of support for what he did, he got his fair share of backlash, as well. This is already expected considering the toxic culture society has of invalidating male victims of sexual assault.
The incident somehow started rumors about the actor’s sexuality. Some internet users started to call him names on social media. The actor, who had enough of the bashing, once replied to someone who called him a “f*ggot” on Twitter.
Being sexually assaulted makes me gay? Or in your own words, a “faggot”?(reprehensible term)
Molesters use this same logic on their female or child victims, calling them “bitches” or “hoes” who asked 4 it.
This mindset has gone unchallenged by the Black community for 2 long. https://t.co/TJxITQ2alJ

Is Terry Crews Gay?
No, Terry Crews is not gay. He has been married to his wife, Rebecca King-Crews, for 33 years, and they have five children together. His family has been actively involved in the industry and even had a reality TV show called “The Family Crews.” Being involved in a sexual assault scandal with another man, where he was the victim, does not make him gay, as Crews clarified in the past.
