The Atlanta rapper was under fire last 2011 because of racist and homophobic issues. It all started when a message was posted on his official Facebook page that says:
WHO THE f–k ‘likes’ an artist on facebook who they dont LIKE. DUMB ASS. I’m gonna keep talking sh-t to these white f—-ts until they unlike my page. f—ing weirdo stalkers!”
The message seems to be directed to those who “liked” his Facebook page only to leave derogatory comments. That would have been good if not because of the racial and homophobic language used in the post.
Soulja Boy, however, denied that he had anything to do with the post, claiming that his page was hacked.
I had administrators on my account that no longer work with me. The hackers used these old accounts to post hateful messages. This was not done by me or anyone on my team and I’m upset that I am being labeled as a racist and homophobic person.”

In 2015, Soulja Boy was again involved in another controversy when actress Vivica A. Fox insinuated that her ex-boyfriend, 50 Cent, and Soulja Boy were gay.
It all started when “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen asked Fox the question:
What were your thoughts when 50 Cent blamed the season ratings dip on ‘gay stuff’?”
The Empire actress replied with:
First of all, you know the pot calling the kettle black is all I’m saying.”
In which fellow WWHL guest Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss replied with:
That was some tea! That was shade. That was major shade.”
Okay, maybe Fox didn’t really directly say that Soulja Boy is gay. But she insinuated that he could be bisexual.
She also brought up an old magazine cover featuring 50 Cent and Soulja Boy, saying that it made her question her ex-boyfriend’s sexuality.

Soulja Boy hit back by posting a photo of Fox on the red carpet with the caption:
Everybody hit up this cougar.. she’s single & ready to mingle. 1-800-GrannyDesperateForAttention extension I’mWashedUp.”
Vivica A. Fox, however, was quick to apologize to Soulja Boy through a tweet. But not to 50 Cent.
Let me say this!! Wasn’t speaking about @souljaboy only my EX and his antics! I apologize for that to @souljaboy.”

Soulja Boy then “responded” through a cryptic tweet that said:
