Nicholas Perry was a freelance violinist before starting a channel on Youtube. He was also a Home Depot worker but then decided to move to New York in 2013 to continue his love for music. Later on, he realized that it wouldn’t work as he found it difficult to do his music in a city with lots of talented musicians.
Before devouring unhealthy foods, Perry was a vegan. And that’s how he met Orlin Home. They met through a vegan group, started a relationship, and were inseparable. They traveled together to Central America as Perry decided to leave his musical career to settle down in Colombia with Home.
Home was the one who persuaded Perry to start his own YouTube channel. Home already had his own channel at that time and he encouraged Perry to start his own in 2014. Perry then created ‘Nikocado Avocado’. It started with videos about being vegan, a healthy lifestyle, and his music.
In September 2016, he explained that he no longer wanted to be vegan. He also explained through a video all his frustrations about being one. Years later, he shared with Trisha Paytas, a Youtuber, all the things he used to believe in being vegan that he thinks cost him his health.

Right after he stopped being vegan, he started making mukbang videos in 2016. His first video reached 50,000 views in a few weeks. People kept on following his channel and watching his videos because they are guaranteed a melodrama aside from the mukbang concept.
He kept posting videos with “clickbaity” thumbnails – him cutting his hair in the middle of eating, sharing a kiss with Orlin Home while eating noodles, and more. People think he needs help, as some of his videos are disturbing. He said that he was like a tornado.

The Scandal with Fellow Youtubers
In 2019, Perry collaborated with two mukbangers, Stephanie Soo and Zach Choi. The three seem to have fun while enjoying the food. But days after filming, Stephanie Soo accused Perry of sending her text messages, harassing her, and taking photos inside her home without her knowledge. Perry denied all the accusations. Later on, Perry admits that he and Soo just faked everything to gain more views and followers.

In 2021, Perry said that he is now a PWD as he broke three ribs on his left side and is currently taking steroids. It is said to be caused by excessive forceful coughing.
