Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, is a 54-year-old American rock musician who took the mainstream media by storm in the 1990s by producing the most controversial heavy metal music. He is the lead singer of the band that shares his name, of which he remains the only constant member since its formation in 1989. He was known as both a rock icon and a negative influence on young people. He got his stage name by combining two opposing American cultural icons: actress Marilyn Monroe and cult leader Charles Manson.

VOTE: What is Marilyn Manson’s Sexuality?
Marilyn Manson’s Current Relationship
Marilyn Manson is currently married to Lindsay Usich, an American photographer, painter, and commercial fashion model. The couple had been married for two years but they’ve been together since 2010.
The two were first spotted together on August 14, 2010, at a Boudoir in West Hollywood. It was a big deal since Manson just broke up with his ex-fiancée, Evan Rachel Wood, at that time. They got together in 2012 but only tied the knot in 2020, in the middle of the lockdown, in a secret wedding with actor Nicolas Cage as their only witness slash guest — via FaceTime.
The couple was still together as of writing, despite the various issues they had faced.
On Failed Marriage and Past Relationships
Marilyn Manson was previously married to burlesque star Dita Von Teese, from 2005 to 2007. The marriage didn’t last long because of infidelity and drug abuse.
The musician was first engaged to American actress Rose McGowan. They were together for three and a half years, from 1997 to 2001 — this was before he was married to his ex-wife, Dita Von Teese, and his current wife, Lindsay Usich. The couple was engaged for two years before they called it quits because of cocaine abuse.
In 2010, the rock icon was also engaged to American actress Evan Rachel Wood. She was 19 when they first met in 2005, while he was 36. They confirmed their relationship in 2007. They were in a somewhat chaotic on-and-off relationship before they got engaged, only to call the engagement off and break up in 2010.
Aside from the women mentioned above, Marilyn Manson was also linked to several others. He has been in relationships with Chløë Black (2011), Esmé Bianco (2010 – 2011), Ashley Lindsay Morgan (2009 – 2010), Isani Griffith (2009), Bianca Allaine (1999), and Missi Romero (1992 – 1997).

On Facing Abuse Allegations
Marilyn Manson has created buzz in the heavy metal music industry, but he has also made headlines for the wrong reasons. The rocker has been involved in abuse allegations with several of his past partners.
In 2021, Manson’s ex-fiancée, Evan Rachel Wood, accused the musician of “grooming” and “horrific abuse”.
Four other women have come forward with the same claims, that they suffered mental and physical abuse at the hands of the rock star. Two of them said their experiences led to diagnoses of PTSD.
Model Sarah McNeilly opened up about getting “emotionally abused, terrorized, and scarred” after Manson locked her in a room and forced her to listen to him having sex with other women.
Actress Ashley Lindsay Morgan, who’s Jewish, shared how Manson would always joke about asking her to bring him Nazi memorabilia from Asia.
Gabriella, an artist who is known as sourgirrrl on Instagram, accused him of taking naked and tied-up photos of her without her permission, then sending them to his friends.
Even Dan Cleary, Manson’s personal assistant, shared how he had personally witnessed the musician threatens to kill his current wife, Lindsay Usich.
Manson denied all charges of sexual assault against him. He called the allegations “terrible distortions of reality”.
There was no criminal charge filed against Manson in connection with Wood’s allegations. He, on the other hand, filed a defamation lawsuit against Wood.
Is Marilyn Manson Gay?
Now, to clear up the issue about the musician’s sexuality, the answer is NO. Marilyn Manson is not gay. He might be involved in several controversies, but none of these were related to getting romantically linked to anyone of the same gender. His past relationships might be messy and controversial, but he was straight, that’s what’s evident.
