Born as Juan Luis Londoño Arias, this 28-year-old Colombian singer, songwriter, and actor is known for his contribution to Latin pop, urban, reggaeton, and salsa. Maluma has been a mainstay on the Billboard charts ever since his first single was released. He gained a whopping 10 million followers on Instagram in 2016, which made him the very first male Latino artist to have achieved this feat. Now with almost 63 million followers on the said platform, the singer was, without a doubt, a social media sensation.
This Latin sensation has collaborations with royalty in the music industry, such as Shakira with “Chantaje” in 2016 and “Clandestino” in 2018, Ricky Martin with “No Se Me Quita” in 2019, and Madonna with “Medellín” in 2019.

Rumors about the Colombian reggaeton sensation’s sexuality have been circulating the internet since he did a collaboration with Madonna and Ricky Martin.
In April 2019, Maluma did a collaboration with the “Queen of Pop ” herself, Madonna, for the song “Medellín”. The duo performed the song at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
In August 2019, Maluma had another collaboration. This time, the Colombian superstar released the song “No Se Me Quita” which features Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin. The Livin’ la Vida Loca hitmaker had previously come out as gay in his 2011 memoir, calling himself “a very fortunate homosexual man.”
And somehow, these powerful collaborations had sparked rumors about Maluma’s sexuality.
To add fuel to the fire, an Instagram clairvoyant by the name of Mhoni Vidente claimed that the Grammy-nominated musician is bisexual. The psychic, who had almost one million followers on Instagram, appeared on a Mexican talk show, “Aqui Contigo (Here With You)”, sometime in 2020, where she made the bizarre claim about Maluma’s sexuality. She claimed to have read the singer’s WhatsApp messages in her mind. That’s how she learned about his love affairs, she said. According to her, Maluma was having a secret love affair with Jennifer Lopez while hooking up with another male lover.
Maluma and Jennifer Lopez had previously worked on two songs together, “Pa’ Ti” and “Lonely”, which were both released in September 2020. These two tracks were part of the soundtrack of their romantic dramedy film, “Marry Me”, which was released in February 2022.

The singer had enough of the gay rumors that he decided to directly put an end to it. During an Instagram Q&A with his then 49 million followers, Maluma addressed the rumors head-on.

Maluma wanted to keep his personal life private despite being in the spotlight. But as far as the public knows, the singer has been romantically involved with women.
Maluma dated Cuban-Croatian model Natalia Barulich. The couple met on the set of Maluma’s 2017 hit “Felices los 4” MV filming. The model plays the singer’s love interest in the MV. Maluma is said to be currently in a relationship with Colombian architect and interior designer Susana Gomez, owner of a Colombia-based interior-design company called Ese + Ese. According to Hola, the couple started dating in August 2020. Although there was no confirmation from either the singer or his ladylove, they were often seen acting lovey-dovey in public.
Even though Maluma has never said a word about his current relationship, he was dropping a hint or two on his social media account. In December 2021, the singer posted a blurry picture of himself hugging a mystery woman by the Christmas tree. The photo was then captioned “Gracias Santa” with a heart emoji.
