Burton began dating make-up artist Stephanie Cozart in the late 1980s. The couple eventually got married in 1992 and had a daughter named Michaela, who was born two years later.
Burton also has a son named Eian Burton, born in 1980. He just learned about his son’s existence 3 months after birth. He requested the court to give him joint legal custody and visitation rights. He explained to the Washington Post.
