The gay rumors surrounding the actor were once again revived when a clip of him kissing another guy on the cheek circulated on the internet in 2022.
In the viral video, friends of the singer-actor were seen gathering at a place, singing “Happy Birthday” to him. Towards the end of the video, James can be seen giving the guy a peck on the cheek, which stirs excited reactions from everyone present.
The guy in the video is James Thomas, who happens to be James Reid’s long-time friend and business partner. They co-own and operate several restaurants together.
In an interview with RAWR Nation in July 2022, James stated that they were simply “messing around” and it was merely an expression of “brotherly love.”
