Ezra Miller’s Relationships
Surprisingly, the actor is pretty tight-lipped when it comes to the details of his relationships. This comes as a total surprise considering that Miller would be involved in high-profile scandals later in his career. Over the years, he had dated plenty of models and actresses with some notable names. Here’s a quick look at Miller’s interesting love interests.
Ezra Miller and Esther Wald (2006)
One of the actor’s earliest relationships was with Esther Wald. Since both Miller and Wald were not in the entertainment industry at the time of their relationship, it’s impossible to acquire the full story. It’s important to note though that the duo were still teenagers when they met and this was Miller’s first relationship before he became famous. The pair allegedly dated for a few months before parting ways.
Ezra Miller and Zoe Kravitz (2010)
In 2010, Miller was also linked to his co-star Zoe Kravitz from “Beware the Gonzo.” Although the relationship was never confirmed, there were lots of talks in the tabloids that the duo were more than just friends. According to rumors, the duo dated briefly after filming with some paparazzi sightings here and there. It’s difficult to deny especially considering the chemistry they had on-screen. However, the two seemingly remained good friends.
Ezra Miller and Lauren Nolting (2011-2012)
Shortly after his alleged fling with Kravitz, the actor was reported to be dating photographer Lauren Nolting. Their relationship was also unconfirmed but the duo were often spotted hanging out and having fun. Despite sharing a close bond, neither party mentioned the other or their relations to the media. In the end, Miller and Nolting grew apart and went on to pursue different interests.
Ezra Miller and Erin Urb (2014-2016)
Miller’s only public and serious relationship was with American actress and model, Erin Urb. It’s unknown when or how the pair met but their affair apparently started in 2014. Compared to the actor’s previous relationships, this pairing lasted the longest at two years. At one point, the couple were even engaged. Apparently, Miller broke it off with the model because a spiritual adviser told him that she was a “parasite.”
Ezra Miller and Shailene Woodley (2016)
After his split with Urb, Miller was rumored once again to be dating actress Shailene Woodley. The pair co-starred in the film “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and allegedly developed a brief fling while filming. While they never confirmed their relationship, Miller and Woodley were often seen together and seemingly had a close friendship. The actress went on to date various athletes including Aaron Rodgers and Ben Volavola.
The Flash Actor Comes Out As Queer
In 2012, Miller came out as queer during an interview where he opened up about his polyamorous relationships. Despite coming out as queer, the actor refused the use the “queer” label and preferred using “they/them” pronouns as a protest to gender norms. In a 2018 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Miller shared his thoughts regarding his sexual identity.
Miller also admitted to having polyamorous relationships with numerous people including his bandmates. A polyamorous relationship is a non-monogamous type of relationship where the people involved mutually agree to have multiple sex partners or romantic interests.
The Actor’s List Of Controversies
Unfortunately, Miller has been dominating the headlines lately for all the wrong reasons. The actor is no stranger to encounters with the law. In 2011, he was arrested and charged with marijuana possession during a routine traffic stop. While Miller kept clean for several years, the tipping point would arrive in 2019 after his parents’ divorce.
In 2020, Miller had a serious altercation at a bar in Iceland where he had to be escorted off the premises. A video of the incident also went viral online where the actor appeared to be choking a woman. However, two years after the infamous video, the woman stated that the incident wasn’t serious and was blown up due to a simple misunderstanding.
To say that 2022 was an eventful year for Miller is a total understatement. In January, Miller landed in hot waters after posting a cryptic message to the Ku Klux Klan. Less than two months later, the actor is arrested again for disorderly conduct and harassment in two separate incidents while vacationing in Hawaii. The following month in April, Miller was arrested for the third time and charged with second-degree assault after throwing a chair at a female companion.
In June 2022, Miller was slammed with court documents accusing him of grooming a minor. A few weeks later, another parent came forward with serious allegations against the actor. And finally, in August, Miller was accused of burglarizing a Vermont home where he stole bottles of alcohol. It seemed like the final straw for the actor who released a public statement revealing that he will be seeking treatment for complex mental health issues.
Is Ezra Miller Gay?
Yes, Ezra Miller is gay. In 2012, the actor came out as queer but refused to use the label and insisted on using “they/them” pronouns.
