An established comedian, actor, and game show host, Drew Carey started as a stand-up comedian. He made a name for himself when he had his own sitcom, “The Drew Carey Show” (1995-2004), and hosted the U.S. version of the improv comedy show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” (1998-2007). He also hosted the game show “The Price Is Right” from October 15, 2007, until the present. He celebrated his 15th anniversary as the show’s host last year.
This 64-year-old comedian, whose full name is Drew Allison Carey, served in the U.S. Marine Corps before he started doing stand-up comedy shows. He is interested in a lot of sports, as well, and has worked as a photographer for the U.S. National Team soccer games.
Because of his single status, close relationships with both men and women, and occasional ambiguous statements, fans had started speculating about Drew Carey’s sexuality. Drew Carey’s Failed Relationships
Drew Carey had a successful career. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same about his love life. Both of his relationships failed despite being engaged both times.
The TV host used to date Nicole Jaracz. There was so little information about her except that her career is in culinary arts. The couple was said to be engaged in 2007. Unfortunately, it didn’t lead to the altar. They broke the engagement off and went their separate ways in 2012.
It took a while for Carey to be back on the dating scene. The TV personality dated and got engaged to Amie Harwick in 2018. His beautiful fiancée is an author with a doctorate in Human Sexuality. She wrote the book “The New Sex Bible for Women”, which is said to be the holy grail for women’s sexuality. But just like in his past relationship, his engagement with Harwick was called off and they broke up.
In 2020, Harwick died because of suspected murder. After being strangled, she was thrown over the balcony of her Hollywood Hills apartment.

The TV personality even shared that his ex-fiancée reached out to him before she died.
Valentine’s Day was a Friday. I got a text from her on Thursday. (She) said, ‘Hey, I know we haven’t talked in a while, but I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about, you know, forgiveness, and I would love to get together with you and talk.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I would love to do that. I love you.'”

Is Drew Carey Gay?
Even though Carey had been in a relationship with women, there were still rumors about his sexuality. The fact that he remained single at his age and none of his previous relationships led to marriage was enough reason for the public to start speculating that he was gay.
The comedian’s sexual preference was, however, never confirmed. He never addressed the rumors about his sexuality. Carey was, however, never linked to anyone of the same gender, so it’s safe to assume that he is straight. There was really no proof to back up the claims that he was into men.
